Signing is step one, not the finish line. Here is the path from your signature to the day your utility lets you turn the system on. Most projects take several weeks end to end. Exact timing depends on your city and your utility, and we keep you posted at every step.
1. Site survey
A technician visits your home to measure the roof, check your electrical panel, and confirm the design works in real life. This usually happens within days of signing.
2. Design and permitting
Engineers finalize your system layout. Then we submit permits to your city and an interconnection application to your utility. This is often the longest stretch. Cities and utilities move at their own pace. We track every application and follow up so nothing sits.
3. Install day
Most home installs are finished in one to two days. The crew mounts the panels, runs the wiring, and sets up your equipment. You do not need to leave home, though your power may be off for a short time.
4. Inspection
Your city or county inspects the work to confirm it meets code. We schedule the inspection and handle it.
5. Permission to operate (PTO)
The utility does a final review and grants permission to operate. Once PTO arrives, we turn your system on. Do not switch it on before then. Utilities require that approval first.
One honest note
We build every proposal on honest numbers. If the math does not work for your home, we say so before you sign, and we walk away. That standard does not stop after signing. If anything changes during permitting, you hear it from us straight.
